Become a Transfer Transitions Leader

The Transfer Transitions Team (formerly known as Transfer Mentors) are a driving force in assisting incoming transfer students with their transition to Syracuse University.

The goal of the Transfer Transitions Team is achieved through hosting monthly social for transfer students, hosting workshops related to resources and services available at SU, and providing a space for transfer students to meeting informally with Transfer Transitions Leaders and other transfer students.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • serve as a resource for all incoming transfer students
  • mentor new transfer students throughout their first semester at SU
  • attend bi-weekly Transfer Transition Team meetings with the other Transfer Transition Leaders
  • host a minimum of 1 social program per month with the other TTLs and FYTP staff


  • be a transfer student
  • earned at least 12 credits at Syracuse University
  • maintain at least a 2.5 GPA
  • be in good judicial standing (conduct and academics)
  • commit to the Transfer Transition Team for the entire fall 2018 semester
